LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
my inseparable cats separated for five days are reunited, not in joy but in hisses
imagine the first time one comes and sits with the other one and begins to wash his head.
imagine the first time they curl up and sleep around each other
imagine the joy of seeing them play with each other again
the joy of harmony emerging out of disharmony
i discover fear is smaller than joy

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
ive just found this in the highway code - it brought tears of joy and love to my heart - wow
"try to be understanding if other road users cause problems: they may be inexperienced or not know the area well"
"be patient: remember anyone can make a mistake"
if you like Handel this is for you - a short utube film of Joyce DiDonato - such gratitude for life.
she has a blog too in which gratitude and beauty feature highly.

"Stones are living beings. Since the entire universe is alive with
the life of God, stones are also alive, which means they are
capable of joy and even thought. You will say that since, unlike
plants, they haven’t been given an etheric body, much less an
astral or mental one, they are unable to think or experience
joy. It’s true, stones do not have an etheric body or an astral
or mental body, and if we’ve placed them at the foot of the
evolutionary ladder it’s because their spiritual being is so
distant from them there’s no communication between them. Stones
are the receptacle for a spiritual being, but as yet this
spiritual being has not entered into them sufficiently for them
to be enlivened.
So, what is it within the stone that thinks and rejoices? It is
the spirit above, not the stone itself. When you move or break
stones they rejoice, because they feel they are about to
participate in the construction of something new."

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
driving through thick white pure fog - i can only just see in front of me as it swirls silently around me. i love it.
a few hours later i drive home, the fog gone and bright sunshine has replaced it vibrant red grasses on long gone heather flowers and peat valleys lined with lime green moss.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
yesterday sitting in the warm sun, clear views for miles. vibrant slashes of reds, orange and yellows against green.
today low cloud and rain, sitting by the river - dark lines of black - river and stems like charcoal lines against vibrant green.
a female duck paddles endlessless against the currant while her mate sits on a rock preening his wing.
the shop i thought i wanted to go in is shut, i find out i dont need to be there.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
ate my first Brussel sprouts of the season today. yum
i look at my plate - so many wonderful beings that bring this food to me - the elements and elementals - the people that plant , water, feed, spray , harvest, pack, transport, sell - not to mention all the inventors of all the things involved in this..vans, plastic, drills just to bring me one plate of food.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
i drive over the high moorland road..the sky is dark and black, yet, as if lit up with lights the land is vibrant and so many colours shine out....blasting through the dark comes white light..really like the love of god....i drive through rain and hail that hits the car and i feel so excited at what i call the movie of the living book of nature...then just as sudden im in the sun and there is a rainbow...all day im watching as this drama unfolds. i feel invigorated and blessed.
